Our Client
The Need
The client gave us books (hard copies) on various aspects of sales – the salesperson’s perspective, the buyer’s perspective and the company’s perspective whose product is being sold.
Based on the content of these books we had to develop the PPTs.
- Unlike most PPTs, the client had asked us to use active voice and direct speech for the slides
- Each RPT had to end with a message for the learners based on the content covered in the class.
The Solution
We took the approach of creating Role Play for examples. The Role Play activities contained scripts which the trainer could easily use to conduct the activities in the class.
The entire content of the PPTs was converted from indirect speech (third person perspective which was followed in the books) to direct speech.
The slides were made with less text and more graphics. The graphics were inserted by the ID in a raw basic format, which was later created by our graphic designer. The ID inserted comments next to the graphics on the slides specifying how the graphics should look and what their use was.
We also inserted notes on the slides for the flash animator to convert the PowerPoint PPTs into FLA files. The notes informed the animator on how the text should flow on the slide and the sequence and time delay of the slide content.
Then, we wrote notes for the instructors to inform them how to conduct the slides. These notes would also be the audio script for the animator who would later use them to add voice over for the flash presentations.
The Results
The client. impressed with our content modulations. came back to us with the entire set of Coordinator Guides (CGs) to be developed for the PPTs prepared by us.
The client had a special request again this time. They asked us to put interactive case studies (just as we had created role plays in the PPTs) for each CG with different examples than those given in the PPTs.
